Carded Antique Tinted Picture Buttons

I found these beautiful tinted buttons still on the original card. They have a great shade of green, yellow & red. Love them so much!!!!

I would really hate to remove them from the original card but I want to make earrings out of them so I am leaving a photo of the card. Stop by my Etsy Shop (Buttonique) soon to buy a pair of these buttons on earrings.

Button Cards

In between my bigger projects I made same simple buttons cards for friends.
Antique Mother of Pearl buttons, laundry ribbon and lace. I used a patch of printed fabric and cross stitch the other 2 cards.

MOP Buttons

I have so many beautiful Mother of Pearl buttons in my collection that I want to display them. I think I want to make a Buttons Brag Book. A really nice cross stitch pattern.

These are some of my favorite buttons with more coming in the mail.

Linen Button Card

Just fooling around with some patchwork linen I ordered. It was on sale because it was the last piece. It would have looked a lot prettier on the rose color instead of the green. So here it is. On the back I used just plain linen and a piece of vintage lace. It was thin and felt like pantyhose that's why I used it.

I also picked up this interesting button with pearls and jems. It needs to be cleaned though. The matching button lost its pearls so I did not buy it.

Button Card

I printed this button card and added antique pearl buttons. My printer needed to be cleaned and there is ink on the sides but it actually looks like an old used button card.

More Buttons at the flea market -Navy Military & Girls Scouts

I went to the flea market yesterday and picked up an antique tine half full of button and antique thread on wood spools. Among the 300 buttons I found a set of Military Navy Buttons and 2 1960's Girl Scout Uniform Buttons. I also found some great shell buttons.

Button Stashes

These are my different stashes of buttons not including the few boxes I have full of them. These are from the 60's.

Vintage Buttons from my jars.

Small vintage stash.

Vintage buttons I put on a card for my shadow box.

Art Deco Buttons

These buttons were given to me by an old women who saved them since the 60's and she knew how much I love buttons. Thank you Louise.

Victorian Antique Metal Buttons

These are my 2 favorite buttons of all time, for now. I found the big one at a yard sale for $1.00. It was rusty and did not look like much. After using a metal cleaner that my husband had it revealed the shiny pivots and the beautiful detailed work on the brass. These buttons are hammered. The photo is a little fuzzy because I could not get a close up.
The 2nd small button I found in a small can of buttons that I offered the thrift store for the entire lot for $5.00. When I looked through all the buttons I was simply amazed.

Box of Buttons

My stash of vintage and new buttons in a cardboard box. Some of my buttons are still on cards and they are nicely color coded into trays. I printed a vintage card and added vintage lace, new buttons and cut out some red gingham fabric using vintage pinking shears that I found in a vintage sewing suitcase from an antique shop. Most of the white plastic buttons and the pearl buttons where from that suitcase along with many vintage haberdasheries.

Vintage Buttons

I love finding vintage buttons. I found great stashes at sidewalk sale, thrift stores and even Etsy.com. I printed out some button cards and placed my favorites on the cards.
