Thread Catcher

I saw this tutorial on how to make this little thread catcher. I loved it because you can fold it up and take it with you. It was easy to make except my sewing machine gave me a problem so I hand sewn it.

Anyone want to do a Gift Exchange

I am so in the mood to do a gift exchange. I ordered a lot of great fabrics from the Mas d'Ousvan line and French General flax fabric as well.
If anyone wants to do an exchange with me just email me: teresacline1@yahoo.com

Button Card

I printed this button card and added antique pearl buttons. My printer needed to be cleaned and there is ink on the sides but it actually looks like an old used button card.

Thrift Store Coasters

I bought a stack of vintage glass and silver coasters which make great pin cushion because they are weighted. I also found these antique hat pins.

Free Vintage Laundry Tapes

I came across 4 packages of vintage laundry name tapes and I don't know anyone by those names. If any of you crafters have or know someone with the names Francine, Rosaline or Claudine send me a comment on my blog and I will send them to you. I have use for these. There are 2 packages with the name Rosaline in black and red.  You can cut the last name off to use

French General Flax Fabric

I was looking everywhere for French General Flax fabric and after weeks of searching I finally found it. On the plus side they are reasonable and the other french general fabric was on sale for $5.99 a yard.

Singer Sewing Machine

I was walking to the fabric store and stopped by the Goodwill just to look and I came across a few great items. I found antique sewing items including a set of German made scissors but I can not seem to identify the mark. I also found a Singer Sewing Machine with its carry case for $40.00. I am so happy. Even though I really wanted the ones with the hand painted flowers on it. This was such a great deal that I had to buy it. There goes my fabric money.

Mamilou Creations Bag

Mamilou Creations has a wonderful bag set that I want to buy the pattern. I am trying to stitch my accessories tray but I think in a few weeks I am going to order the grid. She explains everything in detail with a lot of photos so it is very easy.
Chantal makes beautiful items and if you want this bag or any of her designs here is her site:

Altered Jars

I did these wonderful jars with vintage venice lace, shabby chic flowers vintage buttons, antique skeleton keys and I cut out a print off of a Paris fabric that I had and placed it on linen that was a jacket I bought at a yard sale. It frays really well so I bought it. They turned out very cute. The one jar though I did not cover the lid very well. It was a red smuckers jelly jar and you can still see the red. I did though cut a circle of linen on top but the rim you can see.

Memory Board

I did this wonderful memory board really big so I can fit lots of stuff on it.
I used my navy blue toile fabric and antique buttons that I had. I also got a really big blister from the hot glue gun. OUCH.
I love this Waverly scene. I think this is the only color that it comes in like a ticking fabric. I only saw the other colors in cotton fabric.
I really want it in red but my fabric store does not carry it in the store and it costs $23. per yard plus $12.00 for delivery. Way to much for fabric.

Shabby Chic Flowers

I my hand on something new so I made these very cute shabby chic flowers. Back a few months ago I picked up a pastry cloth that was very old and still in the package at the thrift store for 60 cents. I thought maybe I can stitch on it and it looked vintage. The linen was perfect for this project and I added some of my vintage shell buttons for the middle. One of them I used my navy blue toile scene fabric since it is like ticking fabric and it frayed well and to give it a little color.

Some of the lace in on the one flower is vintage pieces that I cut up. I feel so bad that I am cutting it into little pieces. It is old and I will never get anymore but it is being used for something else.

Wood Carrier with Memory Board

Earlier I posted a wood carrier that I found at the thrift store. I painted it white then made a pincushion on one of the side panels, made a small memory board out of fabric, ribbon and cardboard and then on the other panel I hung some vintage wood spools with thread.
It looks great.
