DHAB Mon Petite Bazar

I am now stitching Des Histoires Mon Petite Bazar and slowly trying to put together the other ones I just stitched. Scary.
I wish I read French so I could understand the directions. My other bag was giving me problems with the directions as the translator was saying something about peas.????

Cartes a fils - DHAB

I finished this beautiful piece from Des Histoires. Now, what to do with it.
Can you believe that one of the ribbons was sent to me to short so I used vintage french laundry ribbon with my initials on it.

Des Histoires Le Sac Rouge

So I am finished stitching my Des Histoires Sac. All I need to do is put it together. God help me. I have no idea what I am doing and I can not understand the directions because they are in French and when I translate it, it does not make sense all of the time.

I did add a few extras to my canvas. A few buttons and and antique lace monogram to personalize it.

I initially chose different fabric but this is what I will use. I love linen so this red rose linen will be the back and the lining of the bag to match my little rose wallet I just stitched and antique red lace I had stashed just for this project.  Wish me luck. I will need it.

Petite Pillows

My friend Sylvie at Ateliers d'Antan
gave this to me in our exchange. I thought it was so cute that I made some as gifts.

One for my friend Cee Cee. I did this one on 30 count Dirty Linen 2 over 2 wire with DMC 815.

and another for a fast gift for someone when I do not have time to make something. I did this on 30 count Dirty Linen, 1 over 1 wire with DMC 815.
There is just a basic red and white fabric on the back of both of my pillows.

Zakka Pin Cushion

I saw this pin cushion Zakka Style. I needed a bigger pincushion for all my pins.

I used vintage Lace and a vintage hand crochet button. This button is so pretty. I had to use it for this project. I also added vintage laundry ribbon with my initials and a cute charm. The back is just one piece of linen.

My First Handbag

This is my very first handbag that was not stitched into a rectangle. My very first hard handbag.
It was challenging at first but I did it. The straps were the most difficult for me. The linen would not fold straight and I made then to wide. Next time I will do better. I added a very beautiful antique button to hold the bag closed.

I found the tutorial for this handbag here: Sewingtutes

Small Sampler Pillow

I made this cute pillow because I saw Des Histoires and liked it. I had that particular pattern.
It is stitched on 32 count Lugana White with DMC 815.

The Cherub Fabric and Bow Tie Ribbon is from : Atelier Steekjes en Kruisjes
Gingham Fabric I bought at my local Walmart.

Another Lavender and Lace Heart Pillow

Everyone that comes to my home wants one. So I made yet another.

"T" Initial Red Cherub Bag

This bag was made for my daughter's 21st birthday. I feel so old.
I used Newport stitching fabric. Not sure of the count and DMC 815.
I love my Casa Mia cherub initials. They have so many good uses. I did however, use an antique filet. So pretty and red mother of pearl flower buttons.

Lavender and Lace Heart Pillow

I made one for may Aunt's birthday and said "Hey, I want one", so I made one for me using some nice antique MOP buttons and a buckle slide.

Lavender and Lace

I made this lavender and lace heart pillow for my Aunt's birthday. I needed something quick and did not have time to cross stitch anything. These are so easy to make. I have collected doilies and lace trims from flea markets for a while and wanted to make something with them. You just randomly sew pieces everywhere and if you think it looks like crap at first, after you are done this is what comes out.

I also added some antique buttons and I had a monogram with my Aunt's initial on it. These were cheap on the internet.

Rose Pouch

I used Natural Linen Stitch Band with Ecru Pyramid on the sides with DMC 815 and an antique red shell button. I love this Yuwa Rose Linen. Everywhere I found the pink rose. There is one place I did find the red rose linen below. It matches the color of the stitch band perfectly.  The stitch band was a little off from the manufacturers. The lines were not straight.

Cross Stitch Photo Frame

This was gift for my mother's birthday. Since this is the first year my sister has been gone I thought I would do something special.  I found an antique monogram with her name on it so I did this project around the monogram. It came out great except I am having trouble getting it perfect in the frame. I will fix later, I am tired.
Stitched on 28 count Cashel Natural linen with DMC Ecru.

Anyway, I found the grid in the Sylvie Castellano book: Toute Une Vie a Broder
The pockets I added vintage laundry ribbon with my sister and my year of birth.

Drawstring Handbag on Ebay Display

I made a drawstring handbag with French General Toweling Fabric that I bought from Ebay. The woman at the shop featured my bag in her store as an idea for this fabric. This is my first feature. I am so excited.
