Vintage Button Card DHAB

I love these vintage patterns. This one to match the ton of vintage buttons I have still on cards. Now, to find the perfect box to mount this piece on.

Finally, I all finished. My biggest challenge. This bag was very difficult to put together. I had to rip the stitches over and over again to get it right.  With every bag I do, I am getting better.  One day I want to do this bag in blue but I will not construct it this way.
I am so excited it turned out well. I had one fabric in mind but decided on my favorite small red rose Yuwa linen.

I added some personal touches like a couple of antique MOP buttons and an antique Swiss lace monogram. I also made a tassel of ribbons and laces and also a pin cushion hanging from a safety pin.

Cartes a fils - DHAB

I finished this beautiful piece from Des Histoires. Now, what to do with it.
Can you believe that one of the ribbons was sent to me to short so I used vintage french laundry ribbon with my initials on it.

Des Histoires Le Sac Rouge

So I am finished stitching my Des Histoires Sac. All I need to do is put it together. God help me. I have no idea what I am doing and I can not understand the directions because they are in French and when I translate it, it does not make sense all of the time.

I did add a few extras to my canvas. A few buttons and and antique lace monogram to personalize it.

I initially chose different fabric but this is what I will use. I love linen so this red rose linen will be the back and the lining of the bag to match my little rose wallet I just stitched and antique red lace I had stashed just for this project.  Wish me luck. I will need it.

Des Histoires Red Sac

I got today a lot of mail packages. One being my favorite online stores Des Histoires. I bought the Sewing Box and Red Sac. Sylvie Castellano sent me also some tidbits with my order. Some picture cards.I can not wait to start working on these projects. I already have the fabrics all picked out.

I love the fabric in the center. It has a vintage red from Moda Independence Trail line. The photo is bright, I have to figure out my camera.
