I found these spools at various thrift stores, flea markets and even family. The textile spools I saved from the thrift store for $5.00. I even found a metal and a plastic spool in an old sewing basket at the flea market.
I will be so happy when I buy myself one day a J.P. Coates Spool Cabinet and Antique Singer.
I am an idiot when I went to the flea market a gentleman offered me one of the first Singer travel metal sewing machine with beautiful hand painted flowers on it for $20.00. It was not in working condition but it was beautiful enough to show.
